The TIE Silencer I was happy to find a way to angle the wings well. And unfortunately I have not found a structure that allows the wings to rotate and lock in place in every angle. When I was done, I realized I hadn't used any special building technics on the cockpit such like SNOT. And I love that you could put the Fighter in flight and fight mode onto the stand. Mandalorian Komrk Class Fighter I'm very happy that I designed the wings are identical from left to right and top to bottom. What design feature are you happiest with, and what didn’t work out as well as you’d hoped? But I'm excited to see what is the UCS set in autumn. But in the Star Wars brand I think the next sets will be the 501st battle pack and the razor crest. Well, currently I think I will go for the Creator Pirate ship next. ![]() What next Star Wars set are you hoping for? Or a set in a different theme. My big favorite is Boba Fett, I don't know why. It's still an easy achievement on my bucket list. I'm a big comic book fan, but for some reason I haven't read a Star Wars comic book yet. Yes, since I saw the crazy guy with the black helmet on TV over 25 years ago, I've been from the franchise. Can I assume you are a Star Wars fan? And if so, what is your favorite aspect (movies, comics, books etc, canon or legends)? For the Manalorian Komrk Class Fighter, you have to dig deeper into the lore. When someone mentions Star Wars, most people think of the Falcon, X-Wing, TIE or Star Destroyer. So I worked on it every now and then within two weeks. The TIE Silencer During this time our baby could be born every moment. ![]() So I had a really good plan where to start and what would be next. I started to create the symmetrical wings, then the functions. Mandalorian Komrk Class Fighter This one took me around 7 or 8 days. How long did it take you to design this MOC? Now I love to build, to create, to connect and to enjoy everything in the AFOL community. And luckily got back because I never got over that loss. And also a total goof because I gave away all my LEGO to buy a XBox 360. I remember getting my first set for being a tough guy at the dentist. Contents: Q&A The MOCs The Build ConclusionĬan you tell us something about yourself? Who is behind the_bricked_cave?īehind the_bricked_cave is a guy, who is a total LEGO nerd since 1993. Maybe once, a long time ago, in the fast galaxy far, far away, this version has been flown too. The model the_bricked_cave has some personal touches, making it a non-true copy of the original. It first appeared in Star Wars Episode VII The Last Jedi. This is a prototype TIE Fighter, used during the First Order war with the Resistance, flown by Kylo Ren. The second model I did recognize: MOC-34444 - The TIE Silencer - Knights of Ren Edition. The model apparently appeared multiple times in Star Wars: Clone Wars, but I did not recognize it. A bit later on, the Knights of Ren used the ship. ![]() Later, Darth Maul would use the ship, in a Black and Red color scheme in his Shadow Collective. This set is the original version of the fighter, used by the Mandelorian faction Death Watch, lead by Pre Vizsla. I love the black, mean style of the models, and given their height, they are perfect for my plans. So I went looking for other options for this set, and came across 2 alternate models, designed by the_bricked_cave. I liked the model, but with the high wings, I had trouble getting to fit in a display. A while back, I reviewed the 75256-1 - Kylo Ren's Shuttle.
